If you’ve never been through the remodeling process
before, or even if you have, The Kitchen Guild goes to
every available length to make the process easy. And we
do so right from the beginning.
Step 1
Visit any one of our design studios
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday
During your visit, we invite you to walk through our design displays, experience our custom and semi-custom cabinetry first-hand. You’ll meet and talk to one or more of our experienced and friendly designers. Your designer will "field measure" your space and discuss challenges and opportunities your project may present. You will be asked if you have a budget in mind. Many people who have not remodeled before are not aware of the investment required. That is where our extensive knowledge of plumbing, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, tile, flooring, electrical work, appliances and building codes, comes into play. Usually we can provide you with an approximate cost during this visit.
Step 2
Following a showroom visit, you may set up a visit in your home with one of our designers. To illustrate the look of your remodeled space, we may make some sketches and show you products from a variety of kitchen and bath manufacturers.
Step 3
If you would like to see a comprehensive design, we will ask for a retainer. This commitment allows us to spend valuable time further developing your project. We will provide complete drawings and specifications and work with you to choose the exact products, cabinet style and finish, fixtures and other details that area all part of a successful project.
Step 4
The rest is up to us. We will prepare a contract for you to sign and ask for a deposit. The retainer fee that you gave us is applied to the total contract price. Your project will be scheduled and installation started as soon as your cabinetry and the other products have arrived. Our professional installers work under the direction of your designer.
Step 5
When you choose The Kitchen Guild you are choosing a firm that has an established reputation, as we’ve been in business serving the Washington Metro area, for over 50 years.
