recognized in such magazines as Kitchen and Bath
Design and Better Homes and Gardens.
We'll work with you every step of the way to insure
that your project is successful and enjoyable. From
the initial consultation through to the completion
of your project, your designer, your carpenter and
project manager will be there to provide design
options, present a variety of alternative materials
and help you coordinate all of your choices into one
beautiful project.

Jim McCoy,
President and CEO
Jim's career in management and business development has spanned 25 years. For more than six years, Jim has been at the helm of The Kitchen Guild, The Fairfax Interiors Group and BathExpress as President and CEO of these companies.
During his tenure, the firm was selected by INC. Magazine as one of the fastest-growing, privately-held firms in the United States and was the fastest-growing design and remodeling firm in the INC 500. (INC. Magazine - Sept. 2006)
When not in one of the Kitchen Guild or BathExpress showrooms, Jim enjoys traveling, training for marathons, 5K's and 10K's as well as boating, and spending time with his three children and two Labrador retrievers.

Mary
Amos,
Interior
Designer, Allied Member, ASID
Mary has almost 20 years of experience in the
interior decorating / design field. She is an expert
color consultant for paint colors, fabric colors and
wall coverings. She is also a knowledgeable expert
in reupholstery and antique furniture of the
American period. She is very familiar with every
wall covering book and coordinate for wall covering,
in our library! We love her because she is
highly creative in accessorizing homes after a
thorough needs assessment. (It makes her very
sought after by clients). She also designs beautiful
and unique window treatments using trims and fabrics effectively.
Mary is an avid collector of Americana and Shaker
furniture. She has won awards for her decorative oil
painting.

Tami
Baki,
Designer, Tami is back at the Kitchen Guild after
taking some time off to spend with her children ages
2 and 6. Tami loves designing kitchens and it
shows! During her “time off”, Tami continued to
design and manage kitchen remodeling projects from
home. In 1994, Tami was the first place winner in a
design contest sponsored by the National Kitchen and
Bath Association. Her designs have been featured in
the NKBA magazine as well several other professional
journals. A Northern Virginia native, Tami holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Commercial Interior
Design from Virginia Tech. She enjoys scuba diving,
running, reading and traveling and argues that there
really is no such thing as the “terrible twos” for
she really enjoys her time with her young children. |
Jenifer
Bouchard,
Kitchen and Bath Designer
Jenifer,
a native Washingtonian, comes to The Kitchen
Guild with over 5 years of kitchen design and
space planning experience. Jenifer studied
Interior Design at Marymount University in
Arlington, VA. Her designs are greatly
influenced by her love of traveling to such
exciting locations as Africa, Spain, and yearly
trips to the Caribbean islands. When Jenifer and
her husband are not busy watching their four
boys' sporting events, they enjoy spending time
at their cabin in West Virginia.

Tanya
Dugan,
AKBD, Designer
Tanya
returned back to her home state of Maryland in
2000 after spending several years in California.
While in California, Tanya studied Interior Design
at the Interior Designer's Institute in Newport
Beach. She has over 7 years experience in
designing top notch kitchens. Tanya is a busy mom
with two young children, husband, and last but not
least, her lovable dog Maisy. Tanya loves
cooking, traveling and tending to her garden and
grove of fruit trees.

Mary
Jo Jackson,
Regional Showroom Manager
Mary
Jo has worked on Saturdays for the Fairfax Interiors
Group (and the former Fairfax Shade Shop) off and on
since 1996. Now that her youngest son is in
school full time she has started working a more
“normal” part-time schedule. A graduate of
Roanoke College with a B.A. in English she enjoys
running, reading, cooking and keeping up with two
sons.

Shane
Masters,
Production Manager
Prior
to joining the company, Shane owned his own
carpentry and painting business for five years.
His jovial personality and upbeat nature make him
loved by our clients and requested back many times.
When not working he enjoys fishing, camping and any
kind of sport with his two sons ages 11 and 6.
He an active volunteer in scouting and sports
leagues in the community of Herndon where he lives.

Vicki Paul,
Kitchen
& Bath Designer
Vicki has a Bachelors of Science degree in Interior Design from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in Indiana, Pennsylvania. With her attention to detail, Vicki enjoys working closely with clients to help customize the space to best reflect the clients’ personality.
Vicki resides in Alexandria, VA. In her spare time, Vicki enjoys traveling to Pittsburgh to visit her family and spending time with her two dogs Porter and Sadie. Her hobbies include interior decorating and visiting the many works of Frank Lloyd Wright.

Johnny Pardo,
Carpenter
Johnny moved to the United States with his family
from their native Bolivia. He graduated from
Annandale High School where he played varsity
soccer. He attended the Gibbs Business School is
currently training to become a Lead
Carpenter. Johnny loves remodeling and hopes to
continue in the field. In his spare time, Johnny
lives and breathes SOCCER both as a fan and as a
player. He plays on several teams in the area and
lives in Annandale, VA.

Ron
Pardo,
Carpenter
Ron has been expertly remodeling kitchens for over 4
years. He especially enjoys installing quality
cabinetry because it requires an eye for detail and
to Ron it’s all about the details! He can handle
any project be it tiling, light plumbing or small
electrical jobs. He enjoys his work very much. On
the weekends Ron plays soccer, watches sports on T.V.
and says he would like to go see more movies! He is
a wonderful asset to the Kitchen Guild Carpentry
team!

Robert
Schafer,
CKD-R,
Kitchen & Bath Designer
When it comes to expertise, it’s difficult to top
Robert Schafer’s 50 years of home remodeling
experience. Having focused on kitchens and baths,
Robert received his Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD)
accreditation in 1971. A long-time member of the
National Kitchen & Bath Association, Robert’s
work has been published in “The Washington Post”
and “Army Times.”

Christy
Sproles, Showroom Manager
Christy is a Virginia Beach native who loves the ocean. She graduated from RadfordUniversity with a Fashion Merchandising degree in May of 2005. After several years experience in the clothing retail world, Christy is excited to experience a much more rewarding career path. In her spare time Christy likes to visit friends and family and spend time with her dog Tank.

Tiffany Taft,
Kitchen
& Bath Designer, AKBD
Tiffany holds degrees in civil/environmental engineering and public policy. Her interest in and concern for the environment led her to obtain accreditation as a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) professional from the U.S. Green Building Council. After many years working in this field, she decided her true passion was design, so she studied and became certified in the Kitchen and Bath field.
Tiffany is an experienced project manager who focuses on the details that make her customers happy. Tiffany prides herself on customer service skills that she developed in years of work as a consultant.
She uses her broad and varied background to create a functional and unique kitchen or bath for your home.
Tiffany resides in Annandale with her husband and canine child. They are currently remodeling their home, including a kitchen and three baths.

Trish
Cox,
Accountant
Trish Cox grew up living in two states: Virginia and
New Hampshire, eventually settling in Loudoun
County, Virginia. She attended Strayer University
and has over 12 years experience in accounting,
specializing in the construction/remodeling
industry. Trish says she is well-suited for
accounting because of the many challenges it
presents and it allows her to put her problem
solving skills to the test! She has two sons who
keep her hopping and enjoys boating, water skiing
and snow skiing.

Bob
McDonald – Lead
Carpenter
Bob grew up in Barnesville, Pennsylvania, the son of
a General Contractor and home remodeler. He has been
doing wood working and home improvements for as long
as he can remember. Bob holds a degree in
Broadcasting and Communications from Mansfield
University in Mansfield, PA. He has experience in
both exterior and interior home improvement. Bob
relocated to Centreville, Virginia to be closer to
his fiancée. He is father to two children and loves
video games, building computers and watching movies.

Mike McCarty –
Kitchen & Bath Designer
Mike has been in the building industry for more than
fifteen years and has specialized in kitchen and
bath design and remodeling since 2001. With interest
in architecture and smart building, Mike looks at
all of his projects from a design aspect of making
sure that the final outcome will bring the
homeowners years of enjoyment. When he is not
designing, Mike likes to spend time with his wife
and two daughters (ages 2 and 4). Other interests
include cooking healthy, working outdoors and making
a better life for his family.
