The Kitchen Guild Design and Remodeling Process

Our goal is to make your design and remodeling experience positive and enjoyable. Your Kitchen Guild Designer will serve as your guide throughout the entire process which allows you to relax and enjoy the design and selection process.

I. Design Consultation

During your initial complimentary design consultation, your kitchen and bath designer will introduce you to our wide variety of cabinetry options and educate you about our remodeling process. Many who are new to remodeling find this appointment to be one of the most valuable steps in learning about the time and budget requirements for a variety of projects. The Kitchen Guild’s extensive knowledge of plumbing, plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, tile, flooring, electrical work, appliances and building codes enables us to provide you with an approximate remodeling cost during this consultation.

II. Project Design and Materials Selection

After your initialconsultation, you may decide to advance to the next phase of the project, the design retainer. Much like hiring an architect to design a home, you can retain one of our qualified kitchen and bath designers to take detailed measurements of your existing space, design your new kitchen or bath, help you select all materials for your projects and provide you with an exact cost for  bringing your new space to life. Your design fee will vary based on your projects, but will be applied to the cost of the project should you move forward.

III. Final Design & Contract Preparation

Once you are comfortable with your design, materials, selection and budget, your designer will prepare a detailed contract including specifications and requirements for the project. Your designer will order materials, schedule your projects and arrange for carpentry, plumbing, electrical, lighting and flooring. Your designer will continue to serve as your guide and single point of contact throughout the entire remodeling process.

IV. Project Completion

After your materials arrive, your project begins! Throughout the process, your designer stays in touch with you and your lead carpenter to manage your project and keep you informed of progress.

Our highly experienced craftsmen go to great lengths to protect your home from dust and disruption. And our structured process ensures that your team works diligently to complete your project in the shortest time possible.
